Ringtones for the masses. The easy to get but hard to integrate CTU Ringtone from famous television series 24 (Twentyfour) has been finally ported in a “some kind” acceptable midi version for Siemens Gigaset SL56 / SL560. Thanks to the Developer(s) of Freeware Midi Editor Anvilstudio for Windows I was finally able to raise the Volume of a Basic MIDI-File available at the one 24 CTU Ringtone site and the other 24 CTU Ringtone (and other Fanstuff) site.
Today I wanted to better integrate MySQL on a windows workstation and I needed an .ico file with a size of 16 to 16 Pixels. Well, I have not found one, so I created one. Maybe this comes handy for someone else.
I personally hate vista. Now I said it. But that’s not the point. Most (if not any) of my friends and customers do the same: They do not want to have vista on their desktop. The ones who had even installed it, uninstalled it afterwards. …
Yeah well, in english something like: “Build your YAML based structure online with the brand new YAML Builder“. Dirk Jesse wrote yesterday his work of the last days has been publicly released at builder.yaml.de . It is as well a nice showcase what you can create with jQuery. But foremost it is a very fast way to design a CSS and YAML based site including subtemplates. a real timesaver! take care it can be a bit resource-huggy because of transparencies and many many divs in the Flow.
YAML stands for Yet Another Multicolumn Layout and is a CSS Framework for creating modern Webdesigns and styleable Sites. It is available in it’s third Version since July 2007 and is developed since three years by german CSS-Professional Dirk Jesse. It finally is a very mature and flexible base for creating sites for many different browsers and barrier-less, accessible websites.
YAML has already ported to famous (open source) content management and website creation software like TYPO3, Joomla!, Drupal, ExpressionEngine and xt:Commerce.
If translated to english that would be donkey and dog but you should not take it word by word. This design is still in progress and I might publish a making of later on because this time we are working a lot with paper, prints and scissors. That’s only natural because the client is running a print-shop / print-studio. Really oldskool and great fun after all the shiny web 2.0 design you can’t see any longer.
Now online: RANDALE! is the synthesis of Pixel-, ASCII-Art and Smileys. It’s a Banner Generator for Chatclients that support (animated or not) Smilies or Emoticons. In this Beta it supports the ones of Skype, others might follow. …
