2007-10-17 let’s rant about usb again – canon

some days ago i had a discomfortable time with samsung and their messed up usb sticks because of MTP. samsung is not the only company who isn’t clearly focussing on usability and interoperability. canon is a good laugh as well. i was testing the popular canon EOS 400D. with kubuntu it was as much as plugging the cable in and kphoto offered to leech all the the nice RAW pictures. and on windows? You aren’t even able to download drivers and software from the canon homepage. I don’t know which way these companies choose but, hey, I wouldn’t support windows systems either much longer
