Hashcat just got a new website. It went online in time in parallel with the release of the first gpu version of the multhash able series of hashcrackers: oclHashcat.
Looks like both tools are currently one of the fastest – if not the fastest – cpu and gpu wise. Join the forums if you’re feeling lucky.

Sehr schön geschrieben: “Also kein reines kleines Wein-Twitter-Blogger-Treffen sondern eine Veranstaltung in der Art von Ignite Hamburg.”
Die Idee?: Ein Barcamp Rheinland Pfalz, mehr Infos von Mac.
Obwohl mich auch mal interessieren würde was bei so einem Wein-Twitter-Blogger-Treffen so geht.

Ausstellung: Porträt des Widerstandes im Rhein-Main-Gebiet. Im Haus der Jugend vom 6. Mai bis 12. Juni 2010 in Mainz.
Ausgestellt werden Portäts und Biografien von Menschen, die dem faschistischem Regime Widerstand geleistet haben.

Auf der Homepage vom Medienmagazin ZAPP beim NDR gibt es einen interessanten Artikel der Einblick gibt über die Manipulation von öffentlicher Meinung durch Firmen und ihre Agenturen, Think Tanks oder wie auch immer gelabelt.
2010-03-20 Pirates of the public space and common goods.
Take it for granted. All this word-flipping in the (self-repeating) copyright debate (ACTA is a current umbrella). Entities of the commercial space are taking over public space and common goods in the bourgeoise society not by using armed forces but by incorporating the law (even that can be a common good). More freedom means less regulation here. It is not a humans’ fault if the chaos of market is not able to provide business models any longer that do globally pay off for certain user-groups.
Does an electron asks it’s neighbor whether or not to tick it? Instead of privatization, things should become publicized as much as possible. Practically, not by discussing theories.
2010-03-12 Foodie of the month
Long time there was no foodie of the month. This week I had the great opportunity to receive a collection of yogurts and stuff from rachel’s. What to say? They still aren’t available everywhere across Europe, but, well, if you find some in store and you like some for afters, give it a try.
My current favorite is the divine rice which totally fills you up gladly. Later on in the cusine I’ll cook-up something with the Luxury Crème Fraiche. I’ll let you know if it’s worth the Gold Award it got. Until then we stick to the forbidden fruits and stuff. My stomach will have a lactose intolerance when I’m finished with the contents of my fridge I guess. Some greetings to wales, looks like they got good milk over there.
