If you do not like software that stays on your system even after you uninstalled it, then put PaperPort on your blacklist.
While installing the SE variant that shipped with a brother printer it came to my attention that it installs an install shield update service and InstallShield Update Service Setup Player Module which is named iPlayerStub as well. Next to the fact that the functionality of PaperPort SE never needs an update Service it “forgets” to uninstall the Software after being uninstalled leaving a mess for you to clean up afterwards.
The one mess is in Downloaded Program Files with dwusplay.dll, dwusplay.exe and isusweb.dll (The files are so old I guess some exploits are shipped for free to your system with these) [all three dll need to be unregistered] the other in Installshield\UpdateService which is a mess to get a rid off: _isusres.dll, agent.exe, ISDM.exe, isperms.exe and issch.exe [agent.exe was "registered" during setup (at least the setup said so) but I was not able to unregister it with system tool regsvr32].
It is on my Blacklist now, so pay attention with next scanner or similar to circumvent those issues if you want to stay clean.
